America’s Great Loop is a ~6,000 nm journey that will take us along the East Coast from the Florida Keys to New York City, before heading west along the historic Erie Canal. We’ll then enter the Great Lakes and cruise through the lock system of the Trent-Severn Waterway in Canada. Around Labor Day, we’ll head south from Chicago along the inland river system to the Gulf of America and head back towards the Keys. We plan to head out in January, and the whole Loop should take us one and a half years!
